Having an outgoing personality can be a lot to lock into a cubicle. Extroverts need others to interact with to maintain their positive outlook. Some careers don’t allow you the freedom of being a people person. It is crucial to choose a position that will accentuate your personality traits. Take a look at some of these options that would work well with a really outgoing extrovert.

Sales

Knocking on doors and being able to talk to anyone is not an easy task for many people. If this is a strength for you, then you should look into sales. Being able to meet someone and start a conversation comes easily to many extroverts. Small talk is an essential part of getting a customer comfortable enough to hear your pitch. An outgoing extrovert that is very personable will make the best salesperson that every company will be fighting to hire. With sales, the better you are, the more money that you will be able to make.

Event Planning

An Event Planner has to maintain many relationships. There are so many intricate parts to pulling off an event. There are vendors, clients, and staff relationships to coordinate. Along with being able to navigate the personal side, you also need to be a strong leader. Being a people person may help you get the best deal from vendors and keep clients happy, but it won’t make an event run smoothly. Vital organizational skills and leadership are needed to succeed in event planning.

Teacher

Teaching

Teachers do not need to be outgoing extroverts, but it will make it more fun and easier to handle. Talking all day and interacting with students and parents would be exhausting for someone that would rather be alone. Having good communication skills will make discussing sensitive matters easier with parents. The more personable you can be, the more engaged and motivated the student will be in higher grades.

Flight Attendant

Being around and meeting new people is in the job description for a Flight Attendant. They spend their whole shift stranded with passengers in the sky. An outgoing personality will make you the most sought after attendant. Along with being outgoing, you will need to patient and understanding. The passengers may not always be easygoing and fun to help. It would help if you were prepared for those that are going to be difficult.  Someone outgoing, friendly, and upbeat would find the life of a Flight Attendant ideal.

Cosmetology

Do you love hair and makeup, and everything beautiful? Being a cosmetologist is fun for those with outgoing personalities. Spend your day meeting new people or visiting with your regulars. Those that do not make a good impression or connection with their clients may not keep them very long. Talking while working is not encouraged in all jobs, but is almost a requirement in cosmetology. Building relationships with those you work with, and clients will make you successful.

Embrace your outgoing side and find a career you will enjoy.
